BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY
Creating Change at Every Level
Bridges Out of Poverty addresses poverty from three interconnected perspectives—individual, organizational, and community. By working across all three, we move beyond meeting immediate needs and help create pathways toward lasting stability.
Individual Transformation
Through programs like Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin’-By World or Getting Ahead While Getting Out, individuals examine the realities of poverty, identify their strengths and resources, set goals, and build a personalized path toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
Organizational Change
Bridges equips churches, nonprofits, businesses, healthcare providers, educators, and community leaders to better understand poverty and recognize the barriers that can make it difficult for individuals and families to move forward. Organizations learn practical ways to build relationships, improve services, and create more effective systems of support.
Community Transformation
Lasting change requires all of us. Bridges brings people from different economic backgrounds and sectors together to identify barriers, strengthen partnerships, and develop community-driven solutions that help more of our neighbors move from crisis toward stability.
We believe addressing poverty isn't simply about providing resources—it's about building relationships, removing barriers, and creating pathways where people can thrive.
